Diversity – Why it Matters, and Why Most Organisations Must do Better

Companies that champion and promote diversity, in every sense of the word within their organisation reap very real rewards from their efforts. PwC’s latest CEO survey showed that they cite, among other benefits, enhanced business performance, reputational strength, a more innovative and collaborative culture and the ability to attract talent.

In fact, global analysis by McKinsey shows that the highest correlation between increased gender diversity in the executive team and performance uplift, is in UK companies. And because organisations today are operating in markets that are more diverse, with demographic and social change reshaping the customer base and market dynamics, it’s no surprise that companies taking a proactive stance on diversity are seeing clear advantages.
